# This is a paper I'm in the process of beating into shape to present.
# I'll take the chance of getting minor burns by posting it here for critique.
# The paper is intended to be a general overview of some of the kinds of
# things people might be trying to do with firewalls, and the types of
# approaches and risks. It's a convoluted topic - possibly I've bitten off more
# than I can chew. All criticisms gratefully accepted.
While I really appreciate folks making information like this
available, PLEASE folks, don't send 60k messages to the mailing
list... Lots of folks don't like having that dumped in their
mailboxes, and it eats up a heck of a lot of bandwidth, especially for
folks at the end of 9.6 kb/s links (like me!).
If you have something bigger than about 5k, please make it available
by anonymous FTP, and send a message to the mailing list that tells
folks where to get it from. If you don't have an anonymous FTP site
where you can put it, let me know, and I'll put it here or something.
