Can anyone tell me how a forwarding host might detect messages of the
type that exercise the sendmail vulnerability mentioned by CERT the other
day? I'm willing to hack sendmail on our firewall to do it.
I have taken the precaution of fixing all our internal hosts,
but I'd like to be able to nail any bogons at a single point, so
that I don't have to worry so much about what could happen if someone
connects an unpatched host to our internal net.
So far, the lack of details on this bug is deafening. Help one of the
"good guys" get his job done. Reply to postmaster @
alantec .
com if it
makes you feel any better :-)
thanks,
~!paul
