Hmmph. A long time ago, I simply created something like
root:fuck-you:0:0:God:x:x
hobbit:go-away:555:555:x:x
ftp:and-stay-out:22:22:x:x
in ftp's /etc/passwd, and that just so "ls" would look nicer. We just got
flamed for this by someone who thought it was "unprofessional", in fact; my
only answer was something like "well, what do you want with our PASSWD FILE in
the first place?!"
Perhaps putting the crypt-strings for various obscene messages in instead
would have been more subtle, but I really don't *care* if someone goes
somewhere they maybe shouldn't and steps on a piece of barbed wire.
