According to RFC 1340, "Assigned Numbers":

   AA0003  DEC		   Global physical address for some DEC	machines

If you're trying to track down problems with the Ethernet address
(from a logging firewall or a Sniffer), RFC 1340 is *REALLY* help-
ful.  You can retrieve a copy via anonymous FTP from nic.ddn.mil;
its filename is "/rfc/rfc1340.txt".
