I know of one major corporation whose auditors dictated firewalls between
divisions.
Also if the organizations merge to the extent of moving people, as happened
with me coming from AMC to Chrysler, there is massive renumbering as it is.
Finally this issue is (or was) covered in the RFC as a down-side.
