PS: Even if you do use the SOCKS 4.2 method (and remember it would have to
be 4.2 built with the `SHORTENED_RBIND' option), you probably do want to
do _slightly_ more than those minimal patches: Add a call

     SOCKSinit(argv[0]);

..at or near the beginning of your client's main(), so that the
SOCKSclient name gets set to a non-generic name for syslog() &c..
