I've been getting a LOT of Firewalls administrivia requrests misdirected
to Firewalls-Owner @
GreatCircle .
COM and other addresses lately... This is
NOT how the world works, folks...
Every new subscriber to the Firewalls and Firewalls-Digest lists gets a
"welcome, and how to unsubscribe" message. Basicly, you send the command
"unsubscribe firewalls <your_address>" (for example,
"unsubscribe firewalls joe @
some .
com") in the body (not on the "Subject:"
line) of an email message to "Majordomo @
GreatCircle .
COM". If you're a
Firewalls-Digest subscriber instead, then substitute "firewalls-digest"
for "firewalls" in the command above.
If you can't remember that, then remember this: damn near EVERY mailing
list on the Internet has a "-request" address (for instance,
Firewalls-Request @
GreatCircle .
COM), which is where you're supposed
to send administrative requests. In the case of Firewalls-Request,
you'll get back a recording telling you how to use Majordomo.
