I'd appreciate contact information, white papers, etc. for all the firewall
providers. I'd like information from the firewall providers, but also from
their customers. If you have information newer than the FAQ, I'd be
especially interested. I'm interested in companies providing products, as
well as in companies providing consulting.
I'm particularly interested in practical information about your experiences
with companies providing firewalls (either hardware, software, or both.)
If you've bought a firewall please let me know who you bought it from and
the experiences you had with them. You might talk about installation,
configuration, on-going support, etc...
Please to keep this from being another flame war, DON'T post to the firewalls
list. Just send stuff directly to me. If there's interest I'll repost the
document I'm going to create from this.
All information, positive, or negative will be passed by the providers for
comment, before this information is used.
This information will be shared with our consultants, will be the
gist for an article, and can be shared back with the list. Note that if
the information is shared with the list, any horror stories that I can't
verify will not be included, and any others will have the companie's
response, (If they choose to make one,) appended.
I'm out to get a realistic picture of our new industry.
If you have a company doing business in firewalls, get your information to
me for inclusion in the article. I'd like complete pricing information as
well. Note that this will be a survey, I won't at this time be doing any
evaluations myself.
