The company I work for has recently come onto the Internet and they are
in need of a firewall. We have information that must be very secure. I am no
expert on firewalls or firewall vendors so I would be very grateful to people
who have purchased commercial firewalls if they would tell me the name of the
vendor they bought from, a contact address or phone number, and how satisfied
you are with the product. Nothing long and drawn out, just who they are and
how you like them. Vendors are also encouraged to send me information on their
products.
It seems to me that most, if not all, firewall vendors will do the
installation and setup themselves. If this is true, why? Why don't they let
people do it themselves?
I would also like to know if any shareware firewalls are as effective
at keeping the bad guys out as commercial products. Given that the in house
talent can install it properly.
