(All addresses below have been changed...apologies to whoever
REALLY owns the addresses)
Looking for someone who might be familiar with routing tables on
an RS/6000 (AIX) machine. I'm trying to add a NetBuilder II, and
having troubles. My AIX is on (let us say) a class C 222.22.22.2
and I have an Internet router on 222.22.22.1. I am adding a router
with two cards. 222.22.22.3 and 222.22.99.1.
So I have:
Internet () 222.22.22.1
| 222.22.22.2
| |
----------------------------------
|
|
222.22.22.3
(*) (NetBuilderII)
222.22.99.1
|
--------------------------------
|
222.22.99.2 (end-user host)
>From my AIX machine, I can ping 222.22.99.1, but when I try .2, it comes
up dead, and trace route shows its searching out the Internet router
instead of on my NBII. I have placed a static route entry that says
the path to 99.1 is through 22.3, and another saying the path to 99.0
network is through 22.3 also. I have also tried saying the 99.0 net
is through 99.1. Either way I can see 99.1, but not 99.2.
