With a dual-homed firewall, your web page and ftp site can go in the
demilitarized zone (between the two homes).

With any other firewall (screening or proxy recommended), put these
services on a machine outside the firewall.  You can still place it
behind the router.

Don't put anything you don't want made public on this machine.
