we are connected into the internet with a T1 circuit. we are planning on
creating a null type network off of this router (an ethernet network) with
just a firewall gateway pc. our service provider here is NYSERNET, who is
using SPRINT.

they will be showing us a product that they use called GAUNTLET.

what are people using for software. we feel that gauntlet is a unix based
software product and we have very little unix knowledge. our network is either
pc/mac or ibm mainframe (VM/ESA). we do have a couple of applications on unix
but only 1 person to staff this area. a gateway application running on a unix
platform wouldn't be bad if it were a database application, requiring little
to no knowledge of unix.

thanx.
