Hello Roger,

# I'm pretty new on the firewall theme, but ip filtering with linux
# is a reasonable part of my final examination work
# at the Swiss Software School in Bern/Switzerland.
#
# <I have to clarify wether Linux is capable to do serious ip filtering or not! >
#

I know of such examples (Linux as a firewall) though people
says that FreeBSD performs a little bit better; I'm
going to use a new release FreeBSD for building firewall/router.

# Is there a good, free tool for Linux available that I can use for my
# school purposes ?

Yes, for sure it has, maybe even more than one. FreeBSD has two
	firewall solutions BTW.

#
# Best Regards
#
# Roger Joss
#
