Greetings All,
I hope someone out there can help out this newbie. I'm looking
for a way to automate ftp access to a Unix (Solaris 2.x) server. The
method should be able to :
1. specify which server to connect to
2. specify the ftp handshake to connect to the remote ftp server
( regardless of the ftp server used )
3. specify the actions to be taken after successful connection
4. enable logging of the activation of this automated "program"

BTW, could any of u please recommend good, proven-usable, programs which
could be used for automating the mirroring process of a Web site's
HTML documents / cgi-programs ?

The programs should be able to implement the above without compromising
security of the local host or the remote ftp server. Additionally, these
programs should be able to work thru firewalls.

Thanks & regards,

PS : Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year. God bless u.
