Hi Folx,

I was asking for a utility to interface to a user like sendmail, but be
very stripped down and only forward mail to another host for "real sendmail
processing". A lot of people have been suggesting smap/smapd. We use smap.
It's a beautiful tool. However it doesn't (that I know of) do what I want. To
draw a picture...

      +---------------+ +--------------+
      | UNIX box | | UNIX box |
      | | | runs real |
      | +----------+ | sendmail |
      | | chrooted | | |
      | | area to | | |
      | | run web | | |
      | | servers | | |
      +----+----------+ +--------------+
             | |
             | ethernet |
       -------------------------------------------
                               |
                               |
                               | Internet

The chrooted area of the first UNIX box would have a utility which takes common
sendmail command line args (i.e. using -t versus the recipient on the cmd line,
etc.), a mail message and simply forwards it to the second box for proper MX
lookup, delivery, etc. on the Internet.
