I think this would be a big plus for them - if it was true.  However, if 
the two machines are in series, then it would seem to me that the death 
of one system would block any connections through the firewall.  If this 
were not the case, then I suspect that an argument might be able to made 
that this functionality could potentially be exploited by persons of 
dubious character.
