Can anyone tell me please what these erstwhile acronyms stand for ?  Also, 
if I'm not mistaken, one acredits to the orange book standards and the other
to something completely other.  Could someone clarify this a little for me
please, as I'm totally confused by the use of D3 etc in the talks going on
of late!
