Hi,
 I know this is really a niggle but there are UNIX packages which create 
needless holes in the system. For example the ever popular :-) SoftWindows 
package which provides for MS Windows emulation under UNIX runs as SU ROOT 
so it can grab raw 802.3 packets from the LAN, a fact which it dosn't 
exactly shout about in the manuals, although it is mentioned. <yes the 
whole package not just a small stub>. I am sure that there are other 
examples waiting to trap the unwary UNIX system admin.
