This is the sort of answer I was looking for.  I thank you all for replying
and I am here to say that even with both transmits cut, I still cant
get this sniffer unit to sniff.  I will check this 'link' detection out.
I think that it is a factor.

Just to keep triffic to a low, please reply to me and when I get something
that accually works, I will post back the summary to the list.
If ANYONE has done this, please email me.
