Peter Gregory writes asking about books that discuss security
policies...
One book that does not contain actual policies but discusses
management issues in information protection is Information Protection
and Other unnatural Acts written by Harry DeMaio and published by the
American Management Association. Harry can be reached at
hdemaio @

com .
The book addresses a significant problem in protecting information -
it is against our nature to keep secrets. From there it discusses an
architectural approach to protection and the driving force behind
architecture - the policy.

folks,
are there any books in print that address real-life security policies?
there are any number of books on security (both networks and systems), but
none that i have seen to date discuss - in any detail - an organization's
security policies: what they should include, etc.
thanks,
peter gregory
