Hello,

The company that I'm contracting for wants to put an NT
web server on their external network using NT 3.51 and
Microsoft's IIS software. I'm not really interested
in OS flame wars. What I'd like to know is whether or not
there exists a technical [paper comparing the merits of a major
Unix flavor (like Solaris 2) and Windows NT as regards to security.
I`'m really afraid that putting this NT server on our perimeter network
is going to blow a hole in our network security.
In particular, I'd like to learn any stories about NT
machines being used to compromise firewalls and /or
other security issues.

Thanks,

Braun Brelin
