Hello,

I'm looking for the best way to partition off a small, but sensative work
area from our larger corporate WAN. Router filtering doesn't seem to do
all I need (I need to log everything, and be able to make frequent changes
to rule sets). Most traffic over this firewall is PC destined, like DHCP,
SMB, and even IPX over IP (and speed is important), so I don't think a proxy
based answer is there.

We would usualy prefer a Sun based solution, since that's where our
experience, service arangements, spare parts, etc. are, but I'm open to
alternatives.

Someone mentioned SunScreen, which I hadn't been considering. I don't need
to create virtual networks -- but still may be something to consider. I need
something that's as invisible as possible, but still come as close as is
reasonable to matching the performance of a router (10MB/s on each side).

Any pointers appreciated. Thanks,
