SunFlash 90.w2 sez:

>90.12 Leaders Adopt Internet High Performance Protocol
> MENLO PARK, CA. - June 6, 1996 - SunSoft Inc., the Internet software
> company, today announced that the industry's leading companies are now
> adopting SunSoft technology that can provide up to a tenfold increase
> in Web access and can triple the number of hits a Web site can satisfy
> at one time.

Tell me I'm not reading this!! :( More info here:

    http://www.sun.com/sunsoft/solaris/networking/webnfs/index.html

There's a white paper available, too; security is dealt with to a small
extent, but there's no mention made of being able to run WebNFS
chrooted, or even in a user-mode (ie. out-of-kernel) context; it's all
along the lines of "pluggable cryptographic authentication will be
supported in a future release". :(

Good old Sun, one hand doesn't know what the other one is doing!
