Informed opinion needed on Web passthrough

We have a proposal to allow traffic from an external Web server on any port 
to be passed through our firewall to another server on a non-standard port.
No SSL/SHTTP is involved.   I think this is ill-advised but I'd like some 
more informed commentary.    Private email is probably best to avoid clogging
this list.
