Isn't this just a PASSV problem? I have a large internal network (8k nodes), and I
use FW-1 as the firewall. My users were having problems with FTP from a browser, I
enabled PASSV FTP on the firewall and I havn't had a call in months. I have since
upgraded FW-1 ver 1.2.1 to ver 2 and everything with the browser is fine (PASSV FTP
is now in the properties). I personally use netscape 2.x on my solaris 2.5 box FTP
is working without problems through the firewall.

Is there more problems associated with a browser's FTP client? I ran a packet
analyzer when I first started getting calls on the Browser FTP. It was clear that
the browser was passive. Maybe I'm missing something--I do know it's working.
