Microsoft NT and 95 and all the big remote access vendors have
vowed to support PPTP which is their version of VPN. Basically
an encrypted tunnel between a remote client and NT server. This is to
support the demand for traveling users to read their mail stored on
an NT server.

Seeing that Microsoft owns 95% of the client market my question is why
would someone want to use any of the firewall remote client products
(e.g. Checkpoint Secure Remote, Raptor Nomad, V-One, SCC Netcruiser)
when I can get it for basically free from Mr. Gates? Only reason I can think of
is for non-NT environments.
