Well, 

Consider the case of Xylan, rumor has it that they will be putting
Checkpoint in their hubs.  I guess the idea is to incorporate a firewall
and ATM edge device.  I don't know why, but one of their sales people
keep trying to tell me I can't live without it. :^)
