Since you asked the question, I will provide this shameless plug, but I will
make it short. Ed Amoroso and myself have written a book for the novice user
to firewalls. Its target audience is for people who want to know more about
firewalls, how to choose a good one, but not how to administer or build a
firewall. For those topics we highly recommend Cheswick and Bellovin's book
"Firewalls and Internet Security" or Chapman and Zwicky's book "Building
Internet Firewalls". Our book is entitled "PCWEEK Intranet and Internet
Firewall Strategies". It is published by Ziff Davis.

Hi -

We'll be giving a free seminar next month to local businesses about
networks, the internet, and firewalls. Any suggestions for good books to
mention for beginners on firewalls would be appreciated. My own library is
woefully out of date ;-(

TIA
