Greetings.
Would anyone know, or could tell me where I can find, any studies or
numbers on how many sites on the internet (world wide) use firewalls?
I'm interested in what percentage of sites connected to the internet,
employ firewalls vs. those that do not use firewalls and thus have
open network pathways to the internet.
One problem that comes to mind is what constitues a firewall. If
our site filters out some ports on our router, does this mean that we
are running a firewall, for example. Is there a consensus as to when
one transitions from simple self-defensive measures to a firewall?
Thanks.
