If anyone hasn't heard this yet...
NT4.0 has it's first major bug. Microsoft & the OEMs are trying to keep
it kinda quiet.
Word came down Thursday morning first thing that NT4.0 has some sort of
"Data Corruption Bug". The OEM I work for has all NT4.0 systems on
"Engineering Hold" and sales has been messaged to sell over to NT 3.51.
M$ has it on stop ship as well the rest of the industry from what I
understand.
Microsoft is supposed to be working the issue. We've seen their first
attempted patch for the issue; It made the problem worse (par for the
course for M$).
I don't know the details of what the bug is yet. I've only had contact
with the Marketing jackels over this so far--the engineers have been
scarce.
