Hi,

I am starting to set up IBM's firewall and have several questions and
hoping someone on the list could help.

1. In the installation guide it says to verify all interfaces are
configured. Use ping to verify IP routing through the AIX machine. In
the next prereq. it says verify no dynamic routing protocols are running
on the AIX machine. I though the only way to route IP traffic between
interfaces was to run routed or gated. Could someone clear this up or
give me a clue as to how this works.

2. When setting up a firewall do most people limit the ports in the
/etc/services files?

3. I do not want to run sendmail on the firewall, how do I make sure
it is shut-off?
