Subject: NAT support in routers (Cisco/3Com)

I recently posted a question regarding "NAT-only" boxes.

A number of people referred me to a recent release of Cisco's IOS that
supports NAT.

I recently learned from the local 3Com office that they plan to incorporate
NAT into the NetBuilder's software sometime by mid-97 (release 10.x?).

Looks like 3Com is at last taking care of people who have to build firewalls.
Release 9.1 has what appears to be good support for Internet firewalling.
There's a neat PDF file in their web site with a lot of background information.

Special thanks to Steve Conner (sconner @
 cycon .
 com) for the information
on the NAT features of CYCON's Labyrinth firewall. It looks like a very
capable NAT solution.
