This, in my opinion, is not a functional requirement for a firewall.  :-)

Apolgies for the marketing spi here, but you might want to look at NetFlow
Switching, since this is easily accomplished with this (appropriate) mechanism.

Go to: hhtp://www.cisco.com  and search for NetFlow.
