In case you hadn't noticed, Firewalls have now gone Prime Time. Lotus
has been running prime time commercials for its new product Domino. The
commercial features Dennis Leary rhyming off different Internet threats
to a person standing in an office with him who has Jack Webb's (Dragnet
fame) head super-imposed over their real head. Jack, the consummate cop
that he is, doesn't have a clue how to solve the problems that Dennis
is rhyming off (obviously, Jack's out-dated right?), so Dennis tells
him some software guys have a solution...bada bing bada bang, its
Lotus.

Has anyone else noticed the irony in these facts;

- the first commercial spokesperson for Internet Security is someone
who popularized the phrase "I'm an asshole".
- his on-screen counterpart has been spoofed, poorly.

Next thing you know we'll have Ronald Reagan doing an ad for Digital
Wallets so you won't forget where you put your keys...;-]
