Microsoft's PPTP can provide similar functionality to an Altavista
Tunnel, as can Devon Software's Kyberpass product
(http://www.magi.com/~devon/newweb/index.html). I believe that V-One's
SmartGate can also do similar functionality.

Their viability and fitness to task obviously depend greatly on what you
are trying to achieve.
