I second this.
If you use a mailer that allows you to pipe the message for viewing
(such as pine) I use the following to strip out most of the HTML
tags (any that don't span lines will be nuked, the rest survive.
You could trivially write a perl script to handle it completely.)
sed -e 's/<[^>]*>//g'
The other alternative, of course, is to write a script which launches
is in lynx, but since most users are writing this email in
netscape anyway, you'll probably have incompatible tags.
