Subject: Blocking Pointcast (#2 - clarification)

Maybe I should clarify a bit here on my question:

My goal is to block pointcast application traffic, not block the URL and
standard HTML stuff. Our goal is simply to turn of the pointcast
applicaton functionality. Is this done through a specific port (other
than http port 80) or through content filtering on an http proxy?

If it is content filtering on http, what are the types to filter for??
(I.e. I'm trying to understand the way pointcast actually works and then
design a firewall/proxy solution to control it without affecting other
types of traffic that may come from the same site - like html or pdf
stuff).

Hope this helps clarify....

TIA....
