Good point.  Perhaps people without enough imagination or initiative to do a 
quick Web search for common majordomo commands (or without the wisdom or 
foresight to keep the "welcome" message sent to them by majordomo when they 
subscribed which, if they had bothered to read it, they would have remembered 
included instructions on how to unsubscribe) should be rewarded by never being 
able to get off the list.
