Folks,
CheckPoint has an official response to this whole issue. Unless someone
has specific and verifiable evidence to the contrary, please move this
discussion to alt.conspiracy or maybe even better, just drop it.
Their response follows (from their web site):
"FireWall-1 contains no computer instructions whose purpose is (1) to disrupt,
damage or interfere with the customer?s use of its computer or
telecommunications facilities of its commercial purposes; (2) to perform
functions which are not an appropriate part of the functionality of such
computer programs and whose result is to disrupt the use or operation of
such computer programs; or (3) to allow control or monitoring of the
FireWall-1 product by any entity other than the end user of the product.
This is an official Check Point response that you can quote to any concerned
customer, relevant to all products and versions that Check Point has
released."
