Not only that, but one would assume they're interested in the topic of
discussion, and given the delays in some lists, it's advantageous for them
to receive replies directly. Also, some PC mail packages are very hard to
reply from without copying the origninal sender.
As for the original poster:
IMO, if you can't stand the heat, either use procmail to filter messages
that copy you and the mailing list, or don't post to a list. It's not my
fault your mail software can't take advantage of the unique message-id
one each message, and you're more likely to get in trouble or piss someone
off than to do anything constructive anyway.
