Subject: Encryption modem demand?

I have a friend that has added triple-DES and SSL hardware encryption to
standard US Robotics modems. This includes a technique for frequent
key-code updates. He had consultive help from the authors of a few
well-known encryption standards.

The patent was just filed, and I'm attempting to help him by estimating
current demand. Personally I'd use it for remote console port
administration on firewalls, routers, servers and other network devices,
_maybe_ remote user access.

If you're have interest or a need for this type of device, please reply to
this message.
