This is not a debate over O/S's here.  

Let me go one more step, I do not recommend one product over the other
based on its offering or its features or its code , etc.

One tries to finds a internet/firewall/security solution that best fits
the problem at hand or the combination of products and services for a
enterpise wide internet/firewall/security solution.
