For those of you who will be in San Diego for the USENIX LISA conference
next week (see <http://www.usenix.org/events/lisa97/lisa97.html> for more
info), there will be a Firewalls BOF (Birds of a Feather session) on
Wednesday night, 29 October 1997, from 10-11pm. As is traditional, it is
immediately after the CERT BOF (which is 9-10pm), in the same room. Check
the BOF listings at the conference to find out which room it will be in.
Here's the "official" description of the BOF:
The Firewalls BOF is a place for folks interested in the design,
construction, operation, and maintenance of Internet security firewall
systems to get together and swap tips, tricks, questions, and answers
about their creations. The BOF will be refereed by Brent Chapman of
Great Circle Associates, founder of the Firewalls mailing list and
coauthor of the O'Reilly & Associates book "Building Internet Firewalls".
I'll be at the conference all week; hope to see a few of y'all there!
-Brent
