Enterprise Security

Iam new in firewalls and security design for a large enterprise.  I am
working on enterprise security design and management.  I have the
following areas to consider:

Network

Desktop

-
-

Remote Access
-
-
-


Can any one be kind enough to tell me what I should be considering most
as far as those three areas are concerned.  For example, If I looking at
the Network security, what are security issues should be looking at.
