Hi everyone,
I am being asked about setting up a NT box using pptp for a vpn across
the internet with a network card to the firewall and one to my
network. I know this would mean anyone on the NT box would then be
on my network. No usage encryption is planned at this time.

Would I be better off putting one card outside the firewall and one
inside the firewall? My firewall only allows http connections which
were initiated from my side of it. What port does pptp use? Is
there a way to monitor the NT box so I may take action if someone
tries to break in?

I am concerned about security and am looking for informative as well
as earned criticism. Please be nice so I can show your responses to
others.(and we just got emails about security?)
