DMZ - Demilitarized Zone, no man's land, the battle zone or battleline,
the area between to adversaries that is not under the total control of
either, the buffer zone between opposing armies. For example the area
between North and South Korea. In networking terms it is a network
segment that provides a buffer between the external and internal network
so information can flow between the two networks in a controlled and
secured manner
