Hi,
I have a question about the network and browser proxy settings. I want to
configure the browsers in the company. All clients( Windows 3.11, NT, 95)
will access the web.

1. In our enterprise network, There are two Microsoft domains in two
cities(x and y). These seperate domains are connected by leased line.
Internet connection is done from x city through one firewall. So y city
people access the x city for the Internet. Also there are 2 DNS in two
cities, DNSs are configured with a forwarder line to the firewall. If the
leased line between the cities is down, clients with DNS configuration are
stuck for minutes in browsing the network, or pinging etc. in y city. How
can I solve this problem?

2. If I don't make the DNS settings in the client and configure the proxy
settings with the IP address(not the host name) of the firewall, what are
the disadvantages of this configuration?
Regards.
