HTTP Proxy Servers on DMZ? another question

There is another question on the table: 

What happens if I put the http proxy server behind the firewall -in the
Militarized Zone-, it would be dangerous?
I think if the http-cache-proxy server is near the stations, we will get
better performance, and the access lists will be more simple.

I hear comments.
