Don:
Check out "Cylink" products. They are in Sunnyvale, California (here in
Silly Valley). They are and have been for some years now, the primary
supplier of these products for the US government, the whole gamut of our
3-Letter agencies, NATO, major world banks, etc.
I would assume that they are on the Internet, but if you have any problem
reaching them, let me know. They are just down the street from us. I do
know that they just received approval to export Triple DES (168 bit) bulk
encrypters to major world banks.

Subject: hardware encrypters
I was looking at Isolation Systems web pages. They have a hardware based
encrypter that is being touted as a good method of getting both a firewall
and a VPN solution between remote offices.
Does anyone know of any other companies who sell or manufacture hardware
or software VPN solutions for comparision?
Any thoughts on Isolation Systems products? Send an email directly to me if
you do not want to post to the mailing list.
