We have recently installed TIS's Gauntlet, and are interested in
finding a software package that will assist us in:
A. Determining site destinations by user, as well as total time spent
at each site, and total online by user. Gauntlet provides one generic
UNIX flat file and wading through this file via grep and simple
scripts is tedious.
B. User authentication from the inside net to the outside...i.e.
control internet use from the desktop by user authentication.
Gauntlet does it, but if we can incorporate it into the same package
as monitoring, then so much the better.
One of the packages we are investigating is OnGuard Internet Manager.
Does anyone have any comments about OnGuard, or suggestions on other
packages?
